Legends of Slots

★★★★☆ 4.3 Editor rating

Legends of Slots sounds like one thing and turns out to be another. It's a casual spinner-puzzle where you line up symbols across a grid to clear a path for little pixel heroes, and each cleared row nudges a short fairytale forward. You tap to spin, hold to lock a column, and swipe to shuffle the layout. That's the whole control scheme, and it reads perfectly on a small screen with one thumb.

What won me over is how it paces itself. Early chapters teach the matching rules gently, then it starts stacking tiny complications — locked tiles, symbols that only clear in pairs, a timer that appears for exactly three levels and then vanishes. The art is charming in a hand-drawn way, and the whole thing runs offline without a hiccup, which is the reason it's on this site at all.

It won't blow anyone away, and the story is thin, but as a wind-down game it does its job. I kept it installed longer than I expected.
