Iron Dominion is a strategy game that trusts you to think. You manage a growing settlement, balance resources, and send out armies on a hex map, all against AI that plays patiently rather than cheating. There's no timer pressuring you, so you can plan a campaign over several short sessions.
Controls are clean for a strategy game on a phone — pinch to zoom, long-press for unit orders, a radial menu for building. It took me a session to get comfortable, then it clicked. The offline AI is genuinely competent, which is rare in this space.
If you like thinking a few moves ahead on the bus, this is a great fit. It's not flashy, but it's smart.
